GAME PLAN

The Yakima Valley Sports Commission is a division of Yakima Valley Tourism that promotes the Yakima Valley through sports tourism. Its efforts focus on attracting, creating and enhancing sporting events for the Yakima Valley that generate positive economic benefits to the community.

Since its inception in 2001, the Yakima Valley Sports Commission has fulfilled its mission by producing and maintaining a diverse lineup of high-profile events that engage area sports fans, generate revenue for the region, and offer positive exposure for the Yakima Valley. By pursuing these events, the results-driven organization helps make the Yakima Valley a stronger and more vibrant destination.

The Yakima Valley Sports Commission's dedication to amateur and professional sports adds depth and diversity to the local scene, making the Yakima Valley an engaging and exciting experience. Its effort to attract WIAA events has turned Yakima into the "Championship City."
